Unable to Airplay to Apple TV
My Apple TV 4K is connected via ethernet to my router. My Macbook Air is connected on Wifi. Why can I not see the Apple TV under the list of screen mirroring devices in my MBA?

In addition to being connected to Ethernet, you must have Wifi on in the Apple TV, and connected to the same Wifi network, in order to allow the devices to discover each other. If you did not set up Wifi on the Apple TV, that would explain why it is not being found.
It is fine to keep the Apple TV connected to Ethernet.
