Eliminating a foreign language on a MacBook Air

I have the settings set to English only. Each time click on a link what comes out is in French. I don't have French on the computer to my knowledge. How do I get this straightened out please?

Click on a link where?

In a web browser? If so, you mean the website it opens is in French?

If so, that may be the website itself detecting your location and setting the language to French. You would need to set the language to English within the specific website's settings if at all possible there. That's website specific thing. Nothing to do with the language on your computer.

Are you using a VPN? If so, have you set the VPN country to France, Canada or other French speaking country?
