I am retrieving comcast.net emails on my desktop computer using "Mail". When I delete an e-mail, it is also removed from the comcast server. I no longer want to receive emails on this computers, but I would also like to delete the emails on the computer without deleting them from the server.

For macOS Monterey and earlier, go to Apple > System Preferences > Internal Accounts > highlight the Comcast Account > click on the - box in the bottom left corner.

Yes' removing the Account from the iMac first, will no longer allow it to delete anything from the Comcast server.
Thank you. Will this just stop it from checking that account going forward or will it delete all the e-mails that are currently on the computer? I want to delete the e-mails from the computer without deleting them from the Comcast server? I deleted an e-mail yesterday from the mail app on the computer and it also deleted it from the Comcast server.
