what is the reasoning regarding authorizing only 5 computers? I'm NOT purchasing any thing from the ITunes store
Why can I only authorize 5 computers? I just need one more to be authorized.

Apple does not share its reasoning with us and we're not supposed to "speculate" here. I have a reason I think is highly likely but...
I note separately that it is likely Apple is not the only one calling the shots when it comes to policy decisions that affect media, a large amount of which Apple sells with the permission of large media corporations.
