Greyed out inbox

I have an issue I can’t

seem to figure out. Apple suggests I contact ATT, and ATT suggests I contact Apple. So, they are useless. Maybe one of you in the community have seen a similar issue. Below is a screenshot from my iPad mail app. It shows a greyed-out inbox with a 19 count. There isn’t anything there not anything on my ATT Currently IMAP server. While this inbox is greyed out presently it’s not always and when it’s not, I have access to sub-folders I created in my Outlook (2021). The count only increases. I have yet to find anyway of removing this count other than deleting the account and reestablishing it.



 The second screen shot is from my iPhone. Notice the same greyed out inbox folder showing zero count nothing. Both devices are pulling from the same imap server. In time the count will start to increase and again the only way to remove the count is to delete this account and re-establish. You will also notice it has a small blue arrow meaning I can get into this folder.  Expaning the folder gives me access to 5 created folders I created with Outlook 21. Anyone have any idea whats going on??
