You have Low Power Mode enabled on your phone.

Settings > Battery

Turn Low Power Mode Off

Battery icon is now white. Got the yellow/green figured out, but I noticed today it’s either white or black. Know why??

White is the portion of remaining charge. Black is the amount of battery storage that has already been used.
