MacBook Pro with a cracked screen

Hi, I have a 2016 MacBook Pro which has a cracked screen, it is black, I have been using it on my TV with problems until I tried it on a different TV, I can see the screen light up (with the crack!) and my cap locks light will come on but the keyboard and Touch Bar are not lighting up and it is not coming up on the TV (using a HDMI lead)

any ideas anyone please?

Chances are that this caused more damage than just the cracked screen ... and why I still suggest that you have it properly looked at.

Switching to a different TV may indicate that the connection between them cannot be synced. This could be for a number of reasons, including a damaged logic board in the laptop.

Do you happen to have a computer monitor handy? ... or have a friend or relative that does? If so, you can try connecting your laptop to this monitor to see if it can display properly ... and, if it does, then you would know that the damage is limited to the notebook's display screen.

The screen got cracked when my daughter was jumping around and landed on the open MacBook, the unit itself has been working for 3 or 4 months fine on the tv, it’s only been when I have switched it to a different tv I has decided to not work all I did was to close the lid, which I have done before when it’s not been in use and carry it to a different tv , power is there as it makes the sound when I plug it in.
