iPhone apps lagging, crashing and hanging

Many apps on my phone at sudden times just start acting weird.

some app return a black blank screen, some apps show a blurred screen, and on WhatsApp it keeps crashing when I try to send a message to someone. Moreover, the keyboard on WhatsApp vanishes and is just blank.

something I’ve also noticed is it’s a software issue and not an app specific since it occurs on multiple apps.

one more highlight when these things start to occur is, that the videos on Instagram and in the photos app just don’t play and get stuck on their first frame.

the only thing that temporarily fixes all these issues is a restart and it is happening about once or twice a day now. It has become more frequent over the period of time.
