You are welcome.

How exactly are you resetting this to factory settings? Rather than doing so the manual way, there is a workaround that may fix all of this. I just had this similar issue on an iPhone 14. I tried many of the things in this forum and on other discussions and nothing worked. Then I found this video *** I started following it and when I did the press increase volume, press decrease volume and then hold the right side button until it reboots (do not slide the power off) when it came up my wifi button was available to turn on in settings. Turned it on and it worked. Bluetooth said unavailable but then became available about a minute later

I’ve done all these steps and even got a new SIM card from my provider. It keeps coming up. I cannot figure out what triggers it :(

Apple Contact Us Info:

  • Contact Us - Choose Locations
  • Proceed from there, as necessary
  • Why the Wait: Phone calls are taking a bit to go through at the moment, due to lots of calls. With the Coronavirus Pandemic, many are at home at the moment, with much time on their hands to contact Apple. So, just stay on the line, and you will get through :)

The same thing happened to my iPhone 11. I did the hard reset and the reset network setting but none of those worked. I’ve read from one respondent that when both the wifi is greyed out and the bluetooth is spinning like wheel, the problem has something to do with the processor chip being burnt out. I’ve lost hope and so decided to purchase a new phone. Using the mobile data, I backed up my old phone in iCloud and re open it using the new phone. After doing so, I did a reset factory setting on the old phone. Next, I opened it up again. It still would not connect to wifi so you cannot proceed with the set up. Now, put on a sim card that has a mobile data. With that, you can connect to the internet and proceed in setting up the phone. Once everything is all set up, remove the sim card and do another reset factory setting. The next time you open it, the wifi and bluetooth will be restored. Hope it helps

I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max, and I have the same issue. I used the iPhone a few times until someday, the phone restarted and lost all wireless connections. Apple Pay worked for a while until it was completely disabled. Also, updating iOS stopped working; the update message would keep spinning, and I had to restart the phone to exit it. The phone can still use WiFi (when it's not greyed out), but it won't connect to a Cellular Network (the Network indicates shows). Strangely, it happens mainly on iPhone 12 PRO MAX and a few other 12 models. It's a logic board design flaw, and I wish Apple would acknowledge this issue and offer a free replacement.

wi-fi and blue tooth not working. I have done all the other stuff like everyone else and it doesn’t work.

I just tried and seems be working.

Step 1 : remove phone case

step 2 : went to my internet carrier for WiFi/ xfinity reconnected my phone.

step 3: reset network settings

step 4 : iPhone WiFi & Bluetooth no longer greyed out and allows to me log in. Hope this works for you!!!!

I have a iPhone 12 pro max, mine has been even more weird after the recent updates. It happened a couple of days ago, my phone would randomly restart and on alternate restart incidents, both wifi and bluetooth (both control centre and settings) would be greyed out, and when clicking on the bluetooth setting it's just an infinite loading sign. After each of these episodes, the next random restart, they would be fine (for a few minutes) before the phone restart and they're greyed out again. It's been driving me nuts... :,(

Apple should be investigated for this. They have done something to our older phones to make this happen. It’s possible this was done on purpose to make people upgrade their phones but I won’t go that far. Too many people have this same problem for this to be coincidence. I have an iPhone 12 Pro, same issue. First it was WiFi constantly disconnecting and reconnecting, then it was both WiFi and Bluetooth not able to toggle on and off, now I’m getting the random shutdowns too. This is ridiculous.

If Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are Dulled-Out:

Try the Following in the Order Provided:

A. Restarting the iPhone:

If any changes were made (i.e. Installed Apps), then Settings (i.e Wf-Fi), may have become manipulated technically. So, try restarting the iPhone:

  1. Go To: Settings
  2. Tap: General
  3. Tap: Shut Down
  4. Slide: Your Finger to the Right

B. Disable Cellular:

Try disabling Cellular, and using Wi-Fi instead, seeing if that makes all the difference.

C. Try manually restarting your iPhone:

  1. Go To: Settings
  2. Select: General
  3. Scroll to: the Very Bottom
  4. Select: Shut Down
  5. Slide Finger: to the Right
  6. Wait: 30 Seconds
  7. Power One: the iPhone
  8. Try this Once More

D. Reset All Network Settings to Default:

Example of items that will be reset: (Wi-Fi Passwords, VPN Connections, etc)

  1. Go To: Settings
  2. Tap: General
  3. Tap: Reset
  4. Tap: Reset Network Settings.
  5. Enter: [Your Passcode]

As a Last Resort:

E. Restore form a Backup:

Have a backup of your iPhone? If you are not concerned with losing data, then restore your iPhone from a backup that was made when Wi-Fi was working. Prior to restoring, backup your iPhone, incase anything goes wrong with the restoration.

This is paranoid. It is very unlikely that they are doing anything deliberate to cause your WiFi and Bluetooth to malfunction.

I have a v13 not exactly an old phone. My spouse has an 11 with no problems.

I am so discussed by people and their conspiracy theories.

wake up?

we have reached a point now where tec companies can’t stop the security breaches and they are not going to tell the public they have issues because everything would implode on itself.

Having the same issue. I haven’t had cell service in about a year just been using my iPhone through wifi. And at the same time the wifi and bluetooth became greyed out, my cellular service now says error and tells me I need an update which I can’t do unless connected to internet. I updated my phone to the current iOS with my Mac but still no fix. Any suggestions before I reset to factory settings?
