Hello,
I have tried all that has been suggested and I still cannot convert songs from itunes to MP3. It doesn't matter what song I choose I continually get the same message:
XX could not be converted because protected files cannot be converted to other formats
Any other suggestions? I find itunes impossible!!

What is the source of the music you want to convert? If they have been obtained from an Apple Music subscription, you can’t because of copyright protection. Convert a song to a different file format with the Apple Music app or iTunes for Windows – Apple Support (UK)
