video pausing and unpausing

Video on my MacBook Pro keeps pausing and unpausing. This happens even with video that is downloaded. It happens on YouTube and Apple TV. On Apple TV, the program will suddenly return to the beginning or even stop playing the desired program and start playing another. Im getting 40mps wifi so that isn't the problem. Any ideas?
