Do blocked calls navigate to a new Iphone number?

I want to change my iphone number. Will my contact list navigate to the new phone number and will my contacts see my name when I call them? Will my blocked calls navigate to my new phone number?

iPhone 11, iOS 16

Apple IDs are not tied to telephone numbers, and most (all?) recent iPhone models can operate with two numbers, and multiple iPhones with multiple numbers work fine.

Will my contact list navigate to the new phone number…

Contacts are not tied to your telephone number, other than the “me” entry.

Your Apple ID security can be tied to your telephone number, if it is listed as a trusted number, and as is common

and will my contacts see my name when I call them?

The name is provided from the carrier. You can usually block sending that, but the name shown to call recipients will be that from your account, or an unavailable or no-caller message.

Blocked calling numbers are independent of the called number. And again, multiple telephone numbers can be configured on most (all?) recent iPhone models.

Biggest issue here will likely be with your recovery numbers and trusted telephone numbers. Not call blocking.

Given the volume of phone spam and text spam permitted by US carriers and US telecommunications regulators, more than a few folks will mute calls from all unknown callers.

Your response to my blocked numbers navigating to my new phone number doesn't make sense. I am not technically savvy, so the lingo is like another language.

Okay, how about this: You are worried about nothing.

Changing your own telephone numbers is of no consequence to your list of Contacts, nor to your Blocked Callers list.

Those same contacts will need to have your new telephone number of course, if they are calling you.

You will need to update your trusted telephone numbers and account recovery details. This is independent of and unrelated to your Contacts. Details: Two-factor authentication for Apple ID - Apple Support
