Group Message Created on Mac

I have discovered if I start a group message on my Mac and someone is an Android user that the message goes to each person individually. I see it as a group and it shows up on my phone as a group as well. If I text in that group from my phone then it goes as a group message, but anything on my mac goes individually. Is there any way to fix this?

Hi there gagner,

This is normal behavior when sending a group message from your Mac. You'll want to be sure you have text message forwarding turned on from your iPhone that's signed in with the same Apple ID you use on your Mac. Have a look at the requirements here:

To send a group message via iMessage, everyone in the group must have a phone number or an email address registered with iMessage.
To send a group message to people who have a phone number but aren’t registered with iMessage, you must have an iPhone with iOS 8.1 or later and set it up to get SMS texts on Mac. See the Apple Support article Forward SMS/MMS text messages from your iPhone to your Mac or iPad.

You'll find this information by clicking on the 'meets these requirements' section of this support article: Send a message to a group or business on Mac - Apple Support

Take care.
