ICloud Icon discrepancy

I have a question regarding ICloud icons...

My Mac Studio and Macbook Pro both have the ICloud Desktop and Folders set to sync over ICloud and all documents have been successfully sync'd

Under ICloud drive in finder on my Macbook Pro the Documents and Desktop folders do not show any download cloud icons but on my Mac Studio in finder the Documents and Desktop folders both show download cloud icons under the ICloud drive.

There are no documents left to download from ICloud so I don't understand how both circumstances can be true.

I have already tried to remove and re-sync the Documents and Desktop on my Mac Studio from ICloud settings with no change. There is only one Apple ID used with only one password used for both computers.

Its not causing any problems that I can see but it's very frustrating not understanding why this is happening so any help would be appreciated.

Mac Studio, macOS 13.3

Hi Don_2012,

Depending on your iCloud storage settings on each device the icons you see can vary. When using iCloud storage each document is not always stored locally. The icon you see can simply mean that some information is stored only on iCloud and will be download when needed in order to optimize space.
