individual tax identification number is not working with Apple savings account

Can’t open an Apple savings account with individual tax identification number , i looked at the requirements and it said social security or individual tax identification number , so every time I input the number I got a pop up screen saying invalid ssn

Apple Business Connect Will Not Accept My Valid EIN I recently got an email from apple asking me to switch from an Apple Business register account to an apple business connect account. So, I started signing up for Apple business connect but every time I get to the final slide where it asks for my federal tax ID it keeps telling me my tax ID is invalid... I've tried it both with and without the dash and even with a space instead of a dash. I've tried entering it from my iphone, ipad and again on my laptop. I am copying it directly from the IRS paperwork and I know the number I am entering is valid. Apple, Please help.
