iCloud storage not full

Hi,

I have always been backing up my iPhone especially contacts and had no issue with the standard 5GB storage however lately, it seems to say my storage is full but as I check, it's not full (as screen short below-using 3.7GB of 5GB).

I've also now switched off to backup some other apps and only remain backup for contacts and whatsapp and it's still saying my storage is full and I'm still using 3.7GB of 5GB. Can you please help.

Hi there skyicecool,

Thank you for posting to Apple Support Communities.

We understand you'd like to manage your iCloud Storage. If you're receiving notifications that your storage is full, it is because the iPhone is projecting how my storage would be needed for a backup and the available storage does not allow this. We see from the screenshot that you have apps that are syncing to iCloud. The apps that sync data with iCloud are listed under your storage plan.

Apple has a good article on how to manage storage so that you can free up available storage for backing up: Manage your iCloud storage - Apple Support

We trust that helps. Let us know if you have any questions.

Take care.
