I absolutely agree with the other comments. Can someone please explain why is it that if I disable the built in camera app on my Lock Screen it also disables the use of using the camera when it is unlocked. I should not have to download or use a different camera app if I disable the built in one. Also when the camera app is on Lock Screen and if I had lost my cell phone anyone who finds it could open my camera app on Lock Screen and can scroll through all my pictures. I have personal pics on here and this is not acceptable. I have already tried all ways to put app locks which does not work. How is this a security and privacy protection to your customers whom bought and paid for Apple devices themselves.

No, the only reason why you can scroll through your camera roll from the Lock Screen, is bc your face instantly unlocks the phone. So anyone who isn’t you, would only be able to see the photo that they just snapped. The same goes for those who use other security means to unlock their phones. There is no need to worry about your camera roll. Try this on someone else’s iPhone and you’ll see.

I spoke with Apple customer service and she was very helpful to explain the same thing as you just did. Thank you for you reply very much appreciated. My first time owning an iPhone with Face ID and didn’t realize it did that without me even trying to open or unlock my cell phone my bad 🥴 lol great to know and hopefully this will help others who are wondering the same, as I seen some comments of some still wondering why as well 😉
