yubikey stopped working after upgrade to 13.3.1

I upgraded the yubikey authenticator app. However, the key does not flash when I insert it into the usb port and none of the yubikey apps indicate it is there. any fixes out there?

Security keys (Yubikey 5C) support in macOS Ventura 13.2.1 (M1 Pro chip) I got stuck while adding Security keys in System Settings. After clicking "Continue" and a couple of seconds waiting, I get this error. Tried several keys – all of them have enabled OTP, FIDO, U2F, FIDO2, OATH, and OpenPGP; FIDO2 is pin-protected. These keys work in Chrome and Firefox on this machine but not in Safari or the OS itself. I saw before a similar question with the absolutely uninformative reply: WebAuthn with Touch ID and Attestation no… - Apple Community. I am sure it has nothing to do with Yubico's support or browser settings.

Nevermind, I rebooted the MBP, something I should have done before wasting bandwidth with my stupid question.
