I’m setting up my new ipad and it keeps saying “Unable to contact the iMessage server. Try again.” I want my messages and facetime to work so what should i do to fix it?

I’m setting up my new ipad and it keeps saying “Unable to contact the iMessage server. Try again.” I want my messages and facetime to work so what should i do to fix it?

If you are experiencing difficulties with Messages and FaceTime, you’ll find appropriate guidance here:

If you can’t turn on or sign in to iMessage or FaceTime - Apple Support


If you continue to experience difficulties, you might be best advised to seek assistance directly from from Apple Support. You can contact the Support Team using the Support link at top-right or bottom-left of this page.


Alternatively, you can initiate and manage your support cases using the excellent Apple Support App. If not already installed on your iPad, the App can be downloaded from the App Store:
