imac update to Ventura 13.3.1. now my external drives wont mount- unless i put them in read only- please help

External drive wont mount Hello, I recently of updated to Ventura 13 on my iMac. A few days later my external drive that was operating was un able to mount. I have tested this on a second Mac with an older operating system and the drive mounts perfectly. I have gone through a safe start up and the drive does show up and functions fine, I can open files etc. It does not show up and I cannot use it on a normal start up. Any help appreciated. thanks, Steve

Ventura 13.4 can't mount external hard drives Before I updated to Ventura, I could mount to external disks, now I can't. I tried the diskutil commands - nothing. I tried Disk Utility - nothing. I can see the drives in Disk Utility. It says they are mounted, but I can't see them in Finder or any application. Please help!!!

I updated to Ventura, my external disk drive is now only readable. It is writeable on my Mac running Big Sur. Can't fidure out how to make it readable on my Mac with Ventura! Help! Sounds like you left them formatted NTFS and the bundled software that allows you to write to them no longer works with Ventura. Contact the drive manufacturer for an update--probably Paragon.
