iPhone automatically answers incoming calls

Yes there is a setting that you will need to double check and ensure that it is set correctly.

Open Settings ➡️ Accessibility ➡️ Touch ➡️ Call Audio Routing ➡️ Auto Answer Calls: Set this to OFF.

I had the same problem and found on my iphone that Settings > Accessibility > Touch > Call Audio Routing > Auto Answer Call was actually switched OFF but found that switching it ON then OFF again did the trick.

iPhone answers calls automatically.I followed threads on here and solutions to no avail .

Then checked my Apple Watch and discovered ,in watch settings , that answer calls automatically was switched ON .

I just found out from someone that posted here to check my watch for auto answer to my phone transferred to my watch, I turned it off… let’s see if the problem is solved..,question how did my watch get on auto answer just before the new IPhone 15 launched? I did not put my watch on auto answer… I’m seriously thinking of switching to an Android, Less headache when a new iPhone is about to launch!!!

I did that about 15 times it’s still doing it.it’s rather annoying!

It’s been an issue on here for months and no one mentioned Apple Watch settings to my knowledge.

Is it possible that this setting “changed itself” in any of the recent 17.0, etc. updates (Sept/Oct 2023)? I have a feeling that it did not. On my iPhone 11 these updates did not activate/turn on this setting. However, on my TEENAGER’s iPhone 13, her FaceTime and group calls suddenly started automatically answering without even ringing (the latter is probably another setting changed. Haptics?). ???

Is there a way for me to set my phone to automatically answer a specific person and no one else?

My phone continues to be on auto answering even though the auto answer is off… it’s annoying. I did the upgrade iOS 16 last night 8-6-23

Thank you! My watch was on auto answer too It’s really weird how all of a sudden it was on there but haven’t been for about 3 years of owning the watch. **** shame Apple 😩😩
