How do you put the app spasfic password in an app with and with out knowing the original password

How do I put the app specific pass words in each app, I just don’t get it,

passwords app won’t display passwords I have an app for which the Passwords app doesn’t offer to provide the password for the site. When I go to the Passwords app, locate the entry with the password I need, I can’t get the Password app to expose the password. I am on an iPad Air running iPadOS 18.2.1.

You have not mentioned which email account is that.

You may have enabled two step verification on Google --> Sign in with App Passwords - Google Account Help

You may have enabled Authenticator for Yahoo --> Generate and manage third-party app passwords | Yahoo Help

You may have enbled 2-step verification for Outlook --> Manage app passwords for two-step verification

You may have activate 2-step verification for Aol --> Create and manage third-party app passwords - AOL Help
