Instagram won’t send me a code through sms and i don’t know if there’s something wrong with my messages or apple id.

Ask a friend who does not have an iPhone to send you a test message. Did you get the message?
You may not have an SMS plan enabled by your carrier for the SIM/eSIM that you use on your device. Apple Inc does not provide SMS services.
Same here. Got new iPhone 14 and now Instagram doesn't recognize device or phone number. They won't send me 2FA SMS codes to my #. I ported my old number to new carrier so that stayed the same. Only thing I did was get a new phone and now I have an eSIM. I restored an icloud backup to new phone and none of my apps saved passwords. Had to re-login in for all. Instagram is the only one having issues. What could be the issue?
