Security Key on Mac OS ventura - Imac Mini - pcsc reader - Could register the security key but cannot use them to log back in

I registered NFC security keys using an NFC smart cart reader (pcsc) and was able to register the keys as 2FA in my apple ID on my Mac Mini. Now I am trying to log back in using the exact same reader (PCSC) and its not working.

Anyone knows a fix ?
