Hey mirabel48,

It sounds like your iPad may be locked with Activation lock and requesting an Apple ID and password. If that's the case, we'd recommend reviewing the article here for the best steps to take on that: How to remove Activation Lock - Apple Support

"Remove Activation Lock on the device

Follow the onscreen steps to enter the Apple ID and password you used to set up your device or your device passcode.

Learn how to find your Apple ID or reset your Apple ID password.

Remove Activation Lock on the web if a device is offline

  1. Go to www.iCloud.com/find.
  2. Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
  3. At the top, click All Devices.
  4. Select the device that you want to remove from iCloud.
  5. Click Remove from Account.

Start a support request

If you need help removing Activation Lock and have proof of purchase documentation, you can start an Activation Lock support request."

If that's not the case, you may want to provide additional information about what's happening.

What are you seeing on your iPad currently?

What do you mean when you say it's stuck on Apple ID and password? Are you setting up the iPad for the first time, or is this happening in Settings? Or something else?

Which model of iPad and version of iPad OS is this happening with?

Thanks!

mirabel48,

If you're still not able to use your device as expected, it may be a good idea to follow the steps in the article we shared in our previous message: How to remove Activation Lock - Apple Support. If you click through to that article, you will be able to follow the guidance there to request removal of Activation Lock. You will be able to find more info as to the requirements to remove Activation Lock at that support article.

We hope that this information is helpful.

Have a great day!
