Volume not working with Samsung TV

I have 4 AppleTV's in the house, but the volume will not work on the newest, a Samsung Series 6. Have tried switching boxes, unplugging, TV plus the volume down button, and software updates - nothing fixes this. The volume will just get stuck on one number, and if I mute, I cannot unmute. Tried Apple Support and they were no help. Any suggestions?

Just the TV? No soundbar, etc?

On the ATV4K, Settings > Remotes and Devices - under HOME THEATER CONTROL > be sure that "Control TVs and Receivers" = ON.

...and right below that, I expect that you should see Volume Control showing "Auto via IR (TV)".

Also note that since it's gonna use IR, you need to point the **** remote at the TV :-). For some reason that I don't recall, most (all?) TVs don't allow devices like ATV4K to control the internal speaker volume via HDMI CEC.
