how do I start my 1989 Macintosh Portable ?

How do I start up my old Macintosh portable computer. I have lost the manual. A switch on the left-side or what?

The Mac Portable does not have a dedicated power switch.

If it's in working condition, pressing any key on the keyboard except Caps Lock should turn it on.

Do note, a dead battery will prevent it from starting.

Thanks. That is what I thought. I hooked up power to it, but it will not boot. It did so the last time I tried about5-6 years ago. RIP. Thanks for the link!
