Hey mary-lee-k,
There are a few ways to temporarily disable VoiceOver. If your iPhone is stuck in security lockout, try triple clicking the side button or home button (depending on which device you're using.) This will turn off VoiceOver if you had an Accessibility Shortcut set up: Turn on and practice VoiceOver on iPhone - Apple Support
