how to replace mac default finder with alternative finder so that the default finder is disabled?

I'm using another finder instead of the apple default finder, however, the problem is the default finder still shows up whenever I try to upload an image to the web, or when I decompress a file, the default finder pops up instead of the alternative finder i am using. It is annoying that I cannot set the alternative finde all throughout the system, is there a way to change it? Thank you very much.

This is indeed a feature of the alternative app rather than the Finder, which is pretty much the most basic app of the Mac OS for the user. In the case of Pathfinder there is an option to 'Set as the Default File Browser', and you should look for something similar in whatever app you have selected.
