Sim card issue.

Hi, My iPhone XR was originally locked in with an optus plan and then I couldn’t pay the outstanding amount

so it locked my iPhone where it

won’t accept any sim cards.

I can only use it for wifi. I got a letter saying if I didn’t pay this ridiculous amount then my iPhone stays locked. Within the last year I linked up with a financial councillor as I was living at a homeless shelter and he contacted optus directly and waived the bill so I no longer owe any money. I have a letter confirming that. Are you able to fix this issue so I can put my sim card back in it and it will work?

You will have to get optus to provide you with a working SIM card or to assist you in unlocking the phone so you can use it with a different carrier.
