Why does my Macbook Air pick up my text messages occasionally and not my phone? I'm missing messages when I'm not at the computer and out and about town. How can I fix this problem? Seems to be imessages.

If you're only receiving messages on one device instead of both at times, we suggest working through these steps on your iPhone to resolve the issue: If you can't send or receive messages on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Thanks, I think I figured out how to get texts now on both my iPhone and MacBook air at the same time, although I don't need the messages on my computer. I'd rather make sure that they always come to my phone. Not sure that I will get my messages when I'm on the road, so concerned I'll miss a message on my phone when not at home. I don't know what the issue is, if it is connectivity or not.

Thanks for the followup. It's hard to say what may be causing the issue. If you don't have a network connection, that may be the cause for them to not initially come in, although they should be delivered when you reconnect.

Thanks. When the messages would come in on the computer, they never made it to my iPhone. I think that the ones that didn’t arrive were iMessages, mostly from my husband at home, but the one I missed recently was from a person who I had appointment with, who also sent an iMessage.
