I'll skip all the reasons why i'm asking this question, as it is long and boring, but I have two iPhones, one with the cell service, and an old one I have had to pull out of retirement. I have to rebuild and completely wipe the one with cell phone service, which has caused me to use my old phone (which has been pressed into service). My carrier has been a big help in switching the service between the two. Is it possible to backup the old phone, without it overwriting the new phone? I backup to my computer, but i'm not opposed to backing up to iCloud. I am just worried how everything will be saved? Will backing up the old phone override the new phone backup? I have had to completely wipe the new one and start again, and i'm having trouble conceptualizing what will happen. For what it is worth, the two phones are named differently, and they are different models.

iCloud backup from old phone to new If I log into my iCloud on my new I phone without backing up my old device, then back up my iCloud on old phone can I re-sync my new phone to have the data my old phone had once it is backed up?

Temporary iCloud backup didn't complete, I don't have the old phone anymore.. Please help! I just got a replacement 13pro and did a temporary backup from the old one. I just sent the old iphone through the post office so I no longer have that. When setting up my new phone, the temporary backup never completed and I manually added all my apps but, of course, all of my app data didn't transfer (all the games I had and the progress I made.. gone). My initial instinct is to reset the new phone and try again.. I'm just concerned if I do this, will that temporary backup disappear? I don't want to risk it if there's another option to ensure the temporary backup becomes more permanent. Please help!

Restoring from a backup is all or nothing.
