AirPods not reading messages

I have the latest updated software on my phone and my AirPods Pro are not reading my messages. The book pauses and then goes on after the message is sent.

For this issue, we'd recommend taking these steps to refresh the connections, reset the AirPods, and test out the issue further. Here's what we'd test out:


  1. Restart your iPhone
  2. How to reset your AirPods and AirPods Pro
  3. Go to Settings > Notifications > Announce Notifications > toggle Announce Notifications off and then back on.
  4. Test out the issue with your next incoming notification.


If the issue continues to occur, then it would be best to contact Apple Support directly: Get Support


They'd need to take it from here.
