I used Find My airpods and went to the exact location and they were not there. How accurate is the location? it was a block from where I thought I lost them.

I lost my AirPods. then went to the location listed and they were not there. This was a few days after I discovered them missing. I used the Find My on Sunday and went to the location on Wed and could not find them. it was on lawn with grass.

AirPods use Bluetooth to report their location to your iPhone.

once you leave the 30’ range of Bluetooth, find my reports the last location they were successfully connected to your iPhone.

If you go back days later, the AirPods will be out of power and will not connect to your phone to update their location.
