Ethernet only loads certain websites

MacBook Pro 2021

Monterey 12.0.1

When I am connected to WiFi, the entire internet is open to me. When I disable WiFi and connect via ethernet, only certain websites work. It's not a matter of relying on the cache. It's not a matter of certain websites being down because I've tried scores of them with a hit or miss record, yet they all work once I reenable WiFi. I've tried restarting the computer and restarting my router to no avail. I have also tried to use a switch, or go directly to a router/modem in two separate locations with different ISPs. I have also tried using a different ethernet dongle, as well as disabled all proxies, turned off lpv6, not running any extensions, cleared cache and cookies, renew DHCP lease, configured Wi-fi hardware to configure automatically, checked my hosts file and it is fine.

I think it's something to do with the DNS settings that are getting assigned but I am not sure at all. I simply can't resolve certain websites. It's something to do with the Macbook Pro, and other users have had this same issue but it hasn't been solved in two separate instances
