Hello, a friend shared with me an album but when I open it I see only approx. 1/3 of photos/videos he actually shared. We both have enough iCloud space, our phones have fully charged batteries, even connected to charging but situation remains the same. Any suggestions?

Yes I have enough space (on iphone and iCloud) and everything is on latest versions.
