iPhone14 with MagSafe car charger and carplay

I have an iPhone 14 I use in my 2019 ford ranger wildtrak with SYNC3. I have to currently plug it in via cable to use CarPlay. I’m considering buying a MagSafe charger for the car, but now am not sure if that will work. The MagSafe charger will use the same usb port in the car I use to use for the phone. Would CarPlay still work via the MagSafe?

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities.

If you want to use a MagSafe charger, you will need to ensure your device can connect to CarPlay in your car with Bluetooth. The MagSafe charger is charging only so it cannot transport data from the phone to the car.
