Message icon show unread messages but all messages have been read!

iPhone: Message Icon shows unread messages, but all messages have been read! How do I clear the icon?

Please refer to the pic below and try this process and see if you are able to get rid of message badges

Thank you! I have done the action as shared and marked all messages. The notification on message icon shows still shows but with less unread. See image after action was completed.
