Hello StevenLynnHall,

It sounds like you're receiving an alert or warning about a possibly non-genuine Apple camera after updating your iPhone. In this case, we'd recommend reviewing your iPhone parts and service history with the following steps: iPhone parts and service history

This walks through the exact error or message you were receiving: About genuine iPhone cameras

You will see an Unknown Part  message if the camera installation is incomplete or if the camera:

* Was replaced with a nongenuine camera

* Was already used or installed in another iPhone

* Isn't functioning as expected

This message doesn't affect your ability to use your iPhone or access your camera.
Learn more about iPhone parts and service history.

This message may appear given the situations above. Either way, it sounds like you've already resolved the issue by visiting the Apple Store.

Hopefully this may help others that experience this issue in the future.

Take care.
