Subscriptions that were started in-app in the content provider app on Apple devices, with payment through Apple, are valid for your Apple devices, unless the content provider made provisions for wider usage (may require verification steps). Normally, it wouldn’t be recognized on other platforms.
[The description by Hulu suggests that the Apple ID and its password might be usable, but would you really want to give your Apple ID credentials to a third party? Apple wouldn’t without your consent, instead they use a separate subscriber-ID behind the scenes, I think specifically to hide Apple IDs from content providers.]
To use subscriptions platform-independent (e.g. Apple and Chrome), please subscribe with the content provider directly, for a separate account, and then cancel the subscription through Apple. Then use the Sign-In form in the apps on various devices or on the web.
