Subscriptions Connecting to Apple TV app on iMac

I don't understand if I'm logged into the same username account in the Apple eco system AND my iMac clearly lists my subscritions to Max and Paramount + and such in Settings. Why on earth can the Apple TV app on the same device not access that information and allow me to access the content I'm paying for through the Apple TV billing structure. This is maddening. I can not log into Paramount+ through their website using my Apple ID either. Have any thoughts?

Connected apps work on iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Apple TV box. On Mac it is different, as that has almost none of the third party content provider apps, and therefore this linking isn’t supported at this time on macOS. Linking through browsers doesn’t work for this.

For subscription access through browsers, you’d have to subscribe through the content provider directly (not through Apple). Consider switching subscription types (unsubscribing for one way, then resubscribing the other way).

HI, Here's the solution. Go into a browser on your Mac (iMac, Mac Mini, Laptop) and go to the Paramount plus log in page. Use "Forgot my Password" and use your apple id email address as the email address to send the forgot password link.

Follow instructions and change your password. Then you'll have log in access on your desktop and browser. You'll have to sign in on your other devices with your new password, but it seems to work.

Test on other services.

Thanks for the response. I have the Apple TV app on my imac. I can subscribe to Paramount plus through that app and watch from my imac. But if I subscribe on one of my other devices, the Apple ecosystem can't simply confirm through my apple ID that I have access and allow access through that app on my iMac to that content. That seems very odd. But I guess that's just the way it is. I realized later that Max will allow login using my Apple ID, so it is browser supported on my iMac.
