Phone shut off

My iPhone 14 pro max shut down while charging and now I can't get it to come back on.

if it was me then I would try

Force restart iPhone - Apple Support

I think I may have been getting an update and that is why nothing was working. As I was contemplating my next steps (going to the phone store) it came back on its own.
