1st Gen Homepods - changing wi-fi and bass reduction
I assume there is still no simple method to assign a specific wi-fi service manually to Homepods.
I appreciate they are initially configured to the network used by the device used to set them up, but I have several wi-fi services at home, and have moved the Homepods to the study where wi-fi is more patchy than elsewhere so hoping to use internet sharing from the M1 Mac Mini which will be in the same room. If I duplicate the name of the original wi-fi service will the Homepod just connect to the stronger one? Or will they potentially connect to any networks known to the AppleID automatically?
All a faff as they are currently registered to another family member's AppleID which I'm probably going to need to change by resetting. Really frustrating, as if they move back to where they were I'm going to have to change that again. Just want them connected to a specific wi-fi best suited to their current location.
As for bass reduction, was there a specific iOS version needed to change this setting as we're mostly on non-current iOS versions.
