Are you able to download an older version of Pages, Keynote, and Numbers to work with an older Mac that cannot update to the newest supported version? If so where can you find this? I have an older Mac that I had to reformat and lost Pages, Keynote, and Numbers. I really am in need of all of those.

If you never purchased those older versions, then you can use third party alternatives. LibreOffice is a popular free & open source office suite which has similar functionality. Plus there are other paid alternatives (Microsoft Office or Microsoft Office 365 as one example) and possibly some other free apps.
Just to add, you have to use the same Apple ID you used to previously download them.
