Upgrading to macOS Ventura

I am using macOS High Sierra 10.13.6. I have been told a lot of the programs I have on my system will stop working once I upgrade to ventura. Is this true? If true, does anyone know how I can find out which programs will stop working?

First, you need one of these Macs to install Ventura…

Second, no older 32bit apps will run on any version of macOS Catalina or later. You can check which you might have with Go64.

Last, there may be many apps you have installed that would need updated.
