Purple, flickering lines displayed in columns on MacBook Pro screen

Hi,

A few days ago my MacBook Pro (A1990 - 2019, touchbar, Intel) 15" display all of sudden started showing flickering, purple/blue lines displayed in 6 columns (or sometimes just across whole screen).

I opened back cover, reconnected display tapes and cleaned up dust a bit (I hadn't see any damage).

Next steps I did were:

  • reset SMC and NVRAM
  • booted in safe mode
  • reinstalled already up to date OS - Ventura 13.3.1
  • played with display settings - True Tone, nightshift, color profiles

And nothing helps. And I'm not able to connect laptop to other monitor.

What weird is that amount of those lines depends on apps, color being displayed plus moving cursor also affects them.

Despite many reported cases (here, reddit, google) Apple doesn't recognize it as design flaw. I contacted service and they said that more likely screen will be replaced at price tag of 1000 USD.

Any suggestions please?

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 13.3
