A late 2013 iMac will run up to macOS 10.15 "Catalina."


However, once you go past macOS 10.14 "Mojave," any older apps that are not 64-bit will cease to work, and some cannot be replaced or updated. Examples. MS Office older the 2016; older versions o Adobe Creative Suite; older games. Office and CS would have to be repurchased; older game may be gone forever.


You can use this free tool to check for which of your current apps are not supported under OS 10.15 and higher:

If you decide to update, you can get the Apple installers in this Apple support page:

⚠️ Before doing ANY major upgrade, back up your drive in case something goes "SPROING."
