Why can't I receive emails?

Every time I got to my mail app the bottom of the screen says "Account error" and "No password provided for iCloud". I go to settings and then it says "Verification failed, could not communicate with the server". What should I do?

iPhone 14, iOS 16

I was having this on all my devices for a couple of hours today. I chatted with support and they said they were working on a server issue that may be my problem. It's now resolved for me so you might want to try again. In my case I couldn't log in to iCloud.com either.

B. Use of an App Password:

You may need to use a new app password. If you are using different devices, then you need one for each device. So, contact your eMail provider to find out how to get an App Password. As an example, for AOL Mail, Go Here: Create and Manage Third-Party App Passwords - AOL Help
