iPad annotations still delete

DONT BUY ANY IPAD IF ITS FOR SCHOOL!!

spent 6 hours annotating 25 pages, then every time i step away from the screen, no matter what I save or how many times I copy the hard work onto a new file the previous page will delete. Not worth the effort or the money. I’ve tried every one of apple’s suggestions from previous posts & it still deletes. 0 stars

We understand you have ongoing issues with annotations on your iPad and that you've already worked through several recommendations to get it working. We have some questions to clarify the issue a bit.

Which app are you using and annotating in?
As part of your troubleshooting, have you checked for any iPadOS updates and app-specific updates?
Have you tested annotating in another app and does it also get deleted?

Then, we'd recommend confirming your available iPad storage if you haven't already. That might provide some insight into what's happening. Go to Settings > General > iPad Storage to see what shows available. Reply back with those details and we'll start narrowing down what might be causing this.
