Missing folders in documents folder

I have a problem with folders residing in the Documents folder disappearing. Some folders are there, but the vast majority are not visible. If I restart my Mac Mini M1 running Ventura 13.3.1, then those missing folders reappear. Is this a bug in the latest OS?

Mac Desktop Documents Folder Not Working After Ventura 13.1 Update After updating my Mac desktop to Ventura 13.1, the Documents folder is no longer working. It shows no Date Modified information, no Size information, and cannot be opened. When I check my Backup folders, all of the files that are saved in the Documents folder appear and can be accessed. When I attempt to copy the files over from the backup to try and restore them, it will not allow me to drag and drop them to the original Documents folder. I am glad my files are still there, but what is going on?

Files and Folders vanished from Desktop on MacBook Pro This morning my files and folders disappeared from the desktop. I can get them back via finder but they don't remain on the desktop. They vanish after a very short period! What's going on, how can I get them to stay on the desktop?

Try booting into Safe Mode then restart normally. Sometimes that will fix anomalies.

Do you possibly have documents enabled to iCloud?

I don't think so for documents. iCloud is set up for Photos, but not iCloud Drive.
